At Ollon, internships aren’t just résumé-builders—they’re designed to be transformative experiences. Guided by the leadership of Founder & CTO Chris Ellefson and a culture rooted in mentorship and autonomy, Ollon offers early-career talent the rare opportunity to explore, contribute, and grow in meaningful ways. The journeys of Olivia, Aastha, and Tahmeed—each in a different stage of their path—demonstrate how Ollon’s internship program creates long-term impact through trust, collaboration, and purpose-driven learning.
“I was looking for an internship that would give me room to explore and learn. I wanted to find my place in tech and marketing... and Ollon gave me the freedom to try all three.” — Olivia.
From her first interview, Olivia noticed something different about Ollon: transparency, encouragement, and freedom to explore multiple interests. Whether prototyping UI flows in Figma, contributing to sales materials, or diving into QA and development, she was never placed in a narrow box.
“I never felt like ‘just an intern.’ People genuinely cared about what I had to say.”
Ollon’s leadership team allowed interns like Olivia to move from questions to real contributions. Her work left a lasting impact, and her experience reflects the kind of mentorship and agency that defines Ollon’s culture.
“It’s the little things—space to propose a new idea, the feeling that I’m not boxed into a single identity.” — Aastha.
Initially joining as a co-op student, Aastha quickly made an impact behind Ollon’s brand and social presence. With the support of Chris and Susan (Director of Marketing & Partnerships), she stepped confidently into her voice.
“I thought maybe I’d be the quiet one in the background. But the onboarding and genuinely inclusive culture erased those doubts quickly.”
Her ideas were not only heard—they were implemented. Today, Aastha continues her journey with Ollon in a contract role, building on the foundation of trust and initiative that began during her internship.
“I didn’t expect this much autonomy or trust so early. I thought I’d follow instructions, but was asked what I wanted to learn.” — Tahmeed.
As the most recent addition to Ollon’s internship program, Tahmeed has already found his voice. Within his first week, he contributed to internal projects, represented Ollon externally, and received real-time feedback on his design and QA input.
“One of the things I appreciated most was how seriously everyone takes feedback. Even as a new intern, my suggestions were considered and built upon.”
For Tahmeed, this inclusion and responsiveness level has been surprising and energizing. The intentional onboarding process set the tone, and the learning curve hasn’t slowed.
This approach is powered by thoughtful onboarding and daily reinforcement from leadership. The result? Internships that feel less like checkboxes and more like a launchpad.
“Be bold. Share your ideas early. People want to hear them.” — Olivia. “Don’t wait to be asked. Take initiative—they’ll support you.” — Tahmeed “Ask to explore. Your role can evolve if you’re curious. Do not be afraid to ask questions—asking questions is the key to unlocking answers.” — Aastha.
At Ollon, internships are not the end of the story—they’re often just the beginning.
