UNCCD COP 16 Immersive Experience

Working with Animations to Provide 3D Immersive Experience

Impossible Creative, a marketing agency specializing in immersive 3D video, was preparing a first of its kind 360 degree installation for a conference in Saudi Arabia but lacked the expertise for its hardware. Ollon engineered a custom video conversion workflow and completed integration onsite, troubleshooting through construction delays and a power outage. The installation ran reliably for the conference.

Impossible Creative, a marketing agency specializing in immersive 3D video environments, was preparing a large scale installation for the UNCCD COP 16 conference in Saudi Arabia. The event featured a groundbreaking display system—tiled screens covering all four walls, the floor, and ceiling—to deliver a fully immersive 360-degree video experience. This setup had never been executed in this format before, and the agency lacked the in house technical expertise to adapt content for the complex, multi surface hardware environment.

Ollon engineered a custom video conversion workflow tailored to the unique hardware setup built for the conference. While core preparation was done in advance, full integration and testing occurred onsite in Riyadh. Upon arrival a week before the event, delays arose—construction was ongoing, and union issues left the venue without power for two days. Despite this, Ollon worked closely with the animation and hardware teams, troubleshooting in real time. Through focused coordination and testing, the system was fully operational for the conference.

Ollon's expertise enabled Impossible Creative to execute a technically complex installation on a global stage with precision and reliability. By bridging creative and hardware workflows, Ollon ensured seamless delivery under high pressure conditions. This collaboration highlighted the value of embedded technical leadership in delivering immersive experiences at scale, reinforcing Impossible Creative's position as a trusted provider for high stakes events.

Our Expertise in Action

Interactive Project

Impossible Creative needed a first of its kind 360 degree video installation for the UNCCD COP 16 conference in Saudi Arabia, with tiled screens covering all four walls and the ceiling. Ollon engineered a custom FFmpeg based conversion workflow, splitting and reshaping footage to match each wall and ceiling surface while correcting field of view distortion from the tiled hardware. Integration happened onsite in Riyadh under real pressure, including two days without power from venue construction, with the team troubleshooting hardware decoding, pixel mapping, and file transfers on site until the system ran reliably. The installation was fully operational for the conference, delivering proof of what the immersive format could achieve.
